History of Savers
Savers markets a variety of individual products including Medicare plans, tax-deferred annuities, individual major medical, final expense plans, single premium whole life, critical illness coverage, and term insurance. Savers Administrative Services, a sister company, administers flexible spending accounts, COBRA, HRA’s and provides payroll services as well as other worksite products and services.
Savers Life Insurance Company was formed in 1980 and issued its first annuity policy in January of 1981. Savers Life subsequently diversified its product offerings to include Medicare supplements, life insurance and major medical coverages. Savers Marketing was formed in April of 1997. Savers Life was subsequently merged into Standard Management Corporation of Indianapolis in March of 1998. After a five year association with Standard Management Corporation, Savers Marketing was purchased by an employee investment group in July of 2003.
The heritage of Savers Marketing as a life, health and annuity carrier has fostered a genuine commitment to service and technology. The Company appreciates its partnerships and we work hard to create a successful environment for all of our producers.
Bill Douglass (ext. 401)
Bill Douglass is a Partner, Board Member and serves as President of Savers Management Group (dba Savers Marketing). Prior to becoming President on April 1, 2016, Bill Douglass was a Marketing Director for individual products with Savers Life Insurance Company and Savers Marketing since 1985. Prior to joining Savers, he was a Regional Manager in the annuity marketing department of First American Savings Bank. Bill Douglass has a BSBA degree in Marketing from East Carolina University.
Brad Campbell (ext. 400)
Brad Campbell has been a Marketing Director with Savers Life Insurance Company and Savers Marketing since 1985. In this position, he is responsible for training and working with a field force of independent producers and agencies. Mr. Campbell has been in the insurance business since 1976, first as an agent with Liberty Life and later in the annuity marketing department of American Federal Savings Bank. Mr. Campbell has a BS degree from Mars Hill College. He is a Partner and serves on the Board of Directors of Savers Management Group.
Matt Francis (ext. 104)
Matt has been at Savers Marketing since 2012, overseeing Operations, Commissions and the creation of a customer Referral Program for our Agents. Prior to coming to Savers, Matt was the Origination Systems Manager at Republic Mortgage Insurance Company for 10 years. Matt is a Partner, serves on the Board of Directors of Savers Management Group, and graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Economics.
Scott Francis (ext. 128)
Scott Francis is the Vice President – Finance of Savers Management Group. Prior to joining Savers, Scott was a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal for 10 years focused on mergers and acquisitions. Scott is a Partner and serves on the Board of Directors of Savers Management Group. Scott is a graduate of Wake Forest University with two degrees in accounting and an MBA focused in finance.
Jerry Francis (ext. 113)
After serving since 2003 as President, Jerry is now focused on strategic initiatives and special projects for Savers Marketing. Jerry was Senior Vice-President and Director of Operations for Savers Life Insurance Company from 1982 until the merger with Standard Management Corporation in 1998. He has an undergraduate degree and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
